Job Description for Senior Accounts Manager:
Responsibilities:
· Managing a team of accounting professionals, assigning tasks, and overseeing day-to-day operations
· Developing and implementing accounting procedures and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
· Overseeing financial statement preparation and analysis, as well as budgeting and forecasting activities
· Reviewing and analyzing financial reports, identifying variances, and developing corrective actions as needed
· Coordinating and managing audits, tax filings, and other financial compliance requirements
· Providing guidance and support to other departments regarding financial issues and strategies
· Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners
· Participating in strategic planning and decision-making processes to ensure financial goals are met
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
· CPA certification or other relevant professional certification
· At least 7-10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role
· In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and standards
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make strategic recommendations
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
· Experience with accounting software and financial reporting systems
· Ability to lead and manage a team, including delegating tasks, setting goals, and providing guidance and feedback as needed
