Logistics Officer
Logistics Officer Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute logistics support policy, processes and methodologies to general benefit of all mission units.
- Coordinate logistics activities related to procurement, funding, substantive units and humanitarian affairs.
- Coordinate and present logistics support to ongoing land, air, rail and river operations.
- Ensure accountable, timely and cost-effective release of peacekeeping cargos along with personnel.
- Synchronize the transportation, maintenance, property accountability, supply services, and contracting operations in order to increase combat effectiveness.
- Carry out annual property inventory and provide other report in his area of responsibility.
Skills
Requirements / Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business administration, or Transportation; Industrial Distribution, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management, or in a related field.
- Work experience in logistic or supply chain management
- Excellent analytical skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
- Hands-on expertise in technical concepts related to the software and OS domain.
- A skilled professional with a knack for problem-solving and thinking critically.
- Sap/ERP System.
