الوصف الوظيفي

We are looking to employ an accountant who can analyze statistical, fiscal, payroll records and reports of the department to determine the cost of operations of various activities. The accountant will participate in the routine accounting functions of posting, balancing, and preparation of special reports. They will assist in the preparation of budget estimates and review encumbrances as to the availability of funds. The accountant will perform a wide variety of clerical/accounting-related tasks as required.

The ideal candidate will ideally have a background of employment in outdoor and/or adventure activity parks.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconciling bank, credit card, and other statements.
  • Recording cash and EFT receipts from multiple sources.
  • Assisting in the monthly and annual close processes.
  • Recording payroll costs from the payroll system.
  • Preparing various journal entries as required.
  • Preparing various account analyses as needed.
  • Assisting in the preparation of audit schedules and financial statements.
  • Assisting in preparing reports related to grants/contract management.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process.
  • Calculating employees' compensation, updating internal payroll databases, and ensuring timely payments.
  • Tracking and reporting expenditures for capital projects which include multiple revenue sources.
  • Review and approve of journal entries related to incoming Park Impact Fee revenue collections.
  • Construction payment applications.
  • Conducting routine pre-audits of a variety of records by examining, verifying, and reviewing accounts, invoices, bills, vouchers, and records.
  • Other accounting duties as needed.

المهارات

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Additional training/certification in Payroll Management – Advantage.
  • Labour Relations certification – Advantage.
  • Experience in Emirate Tax (Federal Tax Authority).
  • Able to engage in meaningful negotiation and resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and arrange day-to-day activities, maintain work schedules, and multitask.
  • Full understanding of accounting functions and best practices.
  • Familiar with UAE Laws & Regulations.
