Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Russian Chef to join our team and prepare authentic Russian cuisine for our restaurant. The ideal candidate must have a passion for Russian cuisine and should be well-versed in the various techniques and ingredients used in Russian cooking. The Russian Chef will be responsible for creating menu items, preparing and cooking dishes, managing the kitchen team, and ensuring food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop menus that showcase authentic Russian cuisine, and keep up with the latest food trends and customer preferences.

• Prepare a variety of Russian dishes, including appetizers, entrees, desserts, and drinks, using traditional Russian ingredients and cooking methods.

• Manage the kitchen team, including training, scheduling, and supervising the work of other cooks and kitchen staff.

• Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to restaurant standards and recipes.

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and supplies, and order supplies as needed.

• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned, and that all safety and sanitation procedures are followed.

• Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop new menu items and promotions.

• Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment, and comply with all food safety and health regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Russian Chef, with a strong knowledge of Russian cuisine and cooking techniques.

• Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen.

• Ability to create and execute recipes that showcase traditional Russian flavors and techniques.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with others.

• Experience with menu development, cost control, and inventory management.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality food and customer service.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines and ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Teamwork: Chef should be able to work effectively with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Communication: Clear communication with kitchen staff and servers is essential to ensure that everyone is on the same page and dishes are prepared and served correctly.
