Short Term – Develop Export Fact Sheets for Priority Sectors
-
BACKGROUND
The Jordan Economic Reform Activity Task Order 1 (ERA) is a 5-year, $54 million program funded by USAID, which aims to support the Government of Jordan (GOJ) to prioritize and implement economic reforms. Through coordination with the GOJ, the Jordanian and international private sector, other donors, and Jordanian civil society, ERA will (1) advance economic reforms, (2) strengthen the business enabling environment, (3) increase exports and local, regional, and international investments, and (4) respond to emerging priorities.
ERA is working with Jordan Exports (JE) to build its services and capacity to become the go-to institution for export promotion of goods and services. As part of the capacity building activities, ERA identified the need to develop export fact sheets to support JE’s export information services for potential exporters in the priority sectors including Architectural Engineering, Food and Chemicals
-
OBJECTIVE
The objective of this scope is to develop market intelligent document briefs (Export Fact Sheets) for select product groups within three priority sectors, Food, Chemicals and Architecture Engineering, that present potential exporters with information on export opportunities in specific target markets, how to access markets and potential competitors and buyers. The Export Fact Sheets should be developed using secondary data sources, such as the United Nation ITC portal and tools. At a minimum, the Fact Sheets should include data about the product groups in identified sectors and potential new markets spanning the last ten years as following:
Product export performance in current markets and future trends
Identifying new untapped potential market for these products or services
Market size, market access condition
Market requirement
Once the Fact Sheets are developed, ERA will co-host awareness sessions with JE to amplify JE and its services and enable the private sector to access relevant, pre-identified export opportunities and markets, including what factors to be mindful of when assessing export opportunities, identifying global buyers, and brokering deals within/through JE and relevant TPIs.
