Financial Planning and Analysis: Creating financial forecasts and budgets, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic financial insights to senior management.
Accounting: Overseeing day-to-day accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements, financial reports, and other financial analyses as required by senior management, regulatory bodies, or other stakeholders.
Risk Management: Assessing financial risks and implementing measures to mitigate them.
Cash Management: Monitoring cash flow, forecasting cash needs, and managing short-term investments.
Tax Management: Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and minimizing tax liabilities.
Investor Relations: Managing relationships with investors and communicating financial performance and strategies to them.
Team Management: Leading and mentoring a team of financial professionals, such as accountants, financial analysts, and financial controllers.

Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is typically required. Some employers may prefer a master's degree in business administration (MBA) or finance.
Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field. Experience in a managerial or leadership role may also be preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial analysis software, and knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations are important technical skills for finance managers.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for finance managers to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
Leadership Skills: The ability to lead and manage a team, make strategic decisions, and solve complex financial problems is important for finance managers.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the industry in which the company operates and understanding of market trends and economic indicators is also important for finance managers.
Professional Certification: Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) will be added advantage
