Immerstec is a company specializing in creating VR content for training and educational purposes.
We're looking for a candidate to join our team who can build innovative, high-quality, and fully performing VR software in compliance with our coding and technical design standards. The candidate will have an established background in software development, excellent communication, and analytical skills, self-motivation to achieve the ultimate results, an initiative toward problem-solving, and a strong passion for technology.
Responsibilities
- Working on all aspects of Unity game engine (assets importing, Lighting, shaders, materials, meshes, scripting, etc.)
- Writing custom shaders to create specific visual effects and customized materials
- Writing C# scripts for gameplay
- Profiling and performance optimization depending on the targeted platform and hardware
- Implement game features and integrate engine features as needed to support desired gameplay.
- Crafting intuitive user interactions for both novice and experienced users
- Collaborating with other developers and clients to evaluate project needs and come up with clever solutions.
- Understanding UX design process and experience working with UX design team and/or development team
- Identify opportunities to improve general workflows
- Be accountable for the revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to maximize operating efficiency or adjust to new requirements.
- Write and maintain software system documentation Running tests and code reviews
- Working in a project-oriented development team to create custom VR experiences for different fields (education, architectural visualization, training, etc.) in Unity.
- Communicate effectively with management and fellow personnel on matters of program intent, problems, and possible adjustments.
- Keeping up with the latest trends and advancements in augmented and virtual reality
Skills
Qualifications
- Board knowledge of gameplay programming, writing well-designed, innovative, and efficient code using C#.
- Familiarity with standard VR hardware (Oculus, Pico, etc.)
- Experience in profiling and optimizing games
- Experience with mobile and console game development
- Hands-on experience with Unity3D engine (editor and scripting)
- Using industry standard source control and issue tracking systems (Git, Jira, Trello, etc.).
- Knowledge of game engine concepts such as lighting, shaders, materials, physics, meshes, scripting, etc
