JOB PURPOSE
To provide support to policy and programme activities in the areas of DRR, Resilience Building, Nutrition that effectively support WFP’s efforts in area of operations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
1. Provide technical support and assist in the development and implementation of various activities and processes within the specific area of work relating to M&E that also support alignment of various business process with wider monitoring and evaluation policies and guidelines.
2. Provide specialized project management support particularly relating to food assistance monitoring data analysis and reconciliation to ensure that the various activities are performed within the established guidelines following WFP's policies and procedures.
3. Within the specific area of responsibility, prepare a range of reports and data analysis (e.g. food assistance needs, resource utilization, programme status, performance) and highlight trends/issues ensuring deliverables adhere to corporate standards and quality control.
4. Ensure and/or perform accurate, timely recording of data within the specific technical area of work and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
5. Provide specialized technical support for the development of different monitoring data collection tools that are compatible to WFP corporate systems.
6. Liaise with different counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities.
7. Coordinate and communicate with local partners, agencies, NGOs and government institutions to support in assessing their needs for their functions relating to monitoring data collection, its analysis and presenting that in different report forms and dashboards.
8. Support the capacity building of WFP staff, cooperating partners and national government within the specific technical area of data collection and its analysis.
9. Act as a point of contact for resolution of a range of operational queries and problems within a specific technical area of responsibility.
10. Oversee and / or review the work of other support staff, providing practical advice and guidance, to contribute to delivering objectives to agreed standards and deadlines.
11. Participate in regular field monitoring, outcome and surveys with a focus on supervising data entry and analysis. Generate monthly samples monitoring of households and activity sites and share with the Monitoring focal persons at sub-offices. Quality assurance to prevent data duplication in food assistance/FFA programme
12. Collect information of WFP assisted population and remove duplications. Develop/update different links between different monitoring data sets and food assistance systems and present overall picture in a summarized form by utilizing WFP proposed tools (e.g. Tableau).Enhance internal controls to avoid duplications in beneficiaries list – particularly under food assistance for assets component.
13. Ensure WFP food distribution information is regularly inserted on its commodity management system and is reconciled with WFP logistics information system. Assist in quarterly analysis of distribution data against field level agreements and with logistics and maintain follow-up with provincial offices for pending reports.
14. Perform other related duties as required.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: First level university degree is required. Advance university degree is desirable in Monitoring, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Business Administration, Social Sciences or other relevant disciplines.
Experience: 6 years of experience in the field of Programme related M&E projects
- Experience related to data management and database programming is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience related to backend support for ongoing database.
Language: Fluency in English & Urdu

Job holder is likely to be working under the close support and guidance of a more experienced professional staff member receiving guidance and regular feedback on work performed. They are typically involved in programme or policy activities and/or analytical work of limited complexity.
