We are seeking an Events Coordinator to support the planning and execution of corporate events for a new and growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating conferences, gala dinners, product launches, and other corporate events for our clients. This role is fast-paced and requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and coordinating all aspects of corporate events, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual equipment, transportation, accommodations, entertainment, decoration and logistics.
- Support the development of event timelines and schedules, and communicate these to all stakeholders, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Support the management of event budgets, including tracking expenses and assisting in negotiating contracts with vendors.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all event requirements are met.
- Communicate with attendees and speakers before, during, and after the event to ensure a positive experience.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on event metrics, including attendance and feedback, to improve future events.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years in event planning and coordination, preferably in a support role for corporate events.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
