BACKGROUND
The UN Booking Hub is a UN Global Shared Service fostering inter-agency collaboration in field services provision. It is the largest UN marketplace with 2.1 million humanitarian customers served to date to access flights, mobility, accommodation, clinics and wellness services from 20 UN partnering entities in 1,500 field service points of 110 countries.
With over 5,300 UN vehicles and 4,300 drivers, UN Mobility of the UN Booking Hub allows humanitarian staff to book drivers, local administrators to manage vehicles, drivers to deliver their passenger transportation more efficiently and UN entities to offer inter-agency carpooling services.
PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
He/she will be responsible for the following duties:
- Support implementation of the UN Booking Hub communication framework, with particular focus on the Carpooling Task Force project, to maintain and enhance visibility for UN Mobility as Global Shared Service (GSS) and ensure alignment with UN Mobility corporate strategy with operational activities
- Aid in managing stakeholder engagement with key UN Mobility partners (e.g., UN Agencies, DCO, Fleet Forum, UNCTs, UN Special Envoy for Road Safety, etc.)
- Coordinate internal and external communications for UN Mobility and the Carpooling Task Force, providing communications advice and supporting key initiatives
- Design the Carpooling one-pager for WFP Country Offices to present the carpooling project at UNCTs, OMTs and the wider UN system
- Ensure effective design and delivery of communications products in support of scaling up UN Mobility
- Seek out opportunities for recognition of UN Mobility work – including opportunities such as Fleet Forum and the United Nations General Assembly – and assist in preparation and presentation of such opportunities
- Ensure a high level of consistency and accuracy for UN Mobility communications materials while also adapting and updating content for wide variety of audiences across various communications mediums, including statements, newsletters, presentations, website content, briefings, articles, talking points, key messages and other written communications and campaigns for UN Mobility
- Create messaging to shape agendas to include UN mobility priorities, influencing dialogue on the future of mobility across the UN System
- Plan and deliver internal communications so staff can engage with UN Mobility scaling up in all aspects, including internal delivery and carpooling
