What will you do?
Under the direct supervision of the Logistics Officer and the overall supervision of the Head of Hargeisa Office, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
- Assist and monitor retailer’s performance in the implementation of their activities for Cash Based Transfers (CBT).
- Carry out retailer monitoring and shop visits to assess the retailer’s adherence to the Retailers Code of Conduct.
- Assist in the follow-up of any complaints from the Beneficiary Hotlines on retailers’ performance /behaviour issues and provide feedback.
- Assist in the monitoring of market prices, checking the availability of commodities, food quality, food expiry dates and general hygiene at retailer shops.
- Assist in the capacity building and training of retailers in the use of Point of Sale (POS) machines.
- Assist retailers in checking their transactions and the correct uploading of Z reports. Ensure that all transactions sent by retailers have been correctly uploaded in the system and provide feedback to retailers.
- Assist retailers in requesting new POS machines as and when required in coordination and collaboration with ICT /SCOPE team.
- Keep a clear inventory of all retailers Point of Sale (POS) machines in use.
- Provide assistance during operational planning during monthly food dispatches from the Warehouse.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure no discrepancies exist between the physical and system stock.
- Assist in the capturing of receipt and dispatches commodities in the system.
- Maintain filing system and archives for swift and easy retrieval of information.
- Perform any other related duties as required.
Do you meet the minimum requirements?
- Secondary school education, preferably supplemented by courses in Logistics supply, business administration, economics, and social science or a related functional area is required.
- Four (4) or more years of progressively responsible work experience in Supply and cash-based transfers technologies and retail engagement strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in retailer onboarding process, retailer relationship and supply chain and corridor monitoring.
- Hands on logistics experience in the UN or INGOs is desirable.
- Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Somalia language is a requirement.
Are you competent for this job? Do you have
- Proficient in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, such as Microsoft word.
- Knowledge of work routines and methods in order to complete processes under minimal supervision.
- Use tact and courtesy to give and receive information to a wider range of individuals.
- Ability to identify data discrepancies and rectify problems requiring attentions.
