PRINICIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

Under the general supervision of the Audit Manager, conducts and participates in various engagements performed by the audit division of the firm; provides quality control for, and oversee field work of Junior Accountants / Auditors, completes special consulting projects and performs related duties assigned.

LEVEL OF AUTHORITY

He / She performs routine auditing / accounting / consulting jobs independently in accordance with the established and general policies & procedures of the firm and as per specific advice and instructions from the Manager – Audit & Assurance Services and Manager – Accounting & Compilation. He / She needs to possess sound judgment, thoroughness accuracy and competence since his / her efficiency has direct impact on the client files and the efficient use of the resources of the firm.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Involved in setting up of books of accounts for clients and involved in finalization of accounts in relation to accounting assignments and conducts field work and participates in internal audits, statutory audits, compliance audits and consulting assignments.
  2. Participates in the development of audit engagement plans.
  3. Develop individual audit programmes under the general supervision of the Audit Manager.
  4. Participates in assigning staff and budgeting hours for audits.
  5. Prepares and submits audit requirements immediately on finalising client engagements.
  6. Tracks the progress of audits.
  7. Provides technical assistance to junior auditors in compiling, drafting, and completing various audit engagements.
  8. Coordinates with junior auditors in performing internal audits and continuous consulting assignments.
  9. To submit continuous working paper files for internal audits at regular intervals for review by the Audit Manager.
  10. Prepare detailed reports on observations and audit findings along with recommendations for review by the Audit Manager.
  11. Coordinates and completes audit documentation requirements before issuing final audit reports.
  12. Responsible for overseeing the preparation of client bills and collecting dues from the clients on time.
  13. Closely coordinates the back office for efficient client management and efficient timely delivery of audited financials.
  14. To up-date all the continuous client files with client documentation such as updated trial balance of the client, status documents, financial statements and other relevant information which directly matches with the progress of the work achieved by him on the date of submission.
  15. Other duties assigned by the Audit Manager / Managing Partner.

المهارات

  1. Prefer candidates having CA qualification from ICAI India or fully qualified ACCA/CPA as well.
  2. Should have previously worked in the position of an Audit Associate/Senior Audit Associate preferably in audit firms
  3. Should have advanced level proficiency in MS Office especially MS Excel
  4. Must be able to work with a team of qualified professionals
  5. Possesses good interpersonal skills and should be good with written and verbal communication
  6. UAE experience is desirable
