Technical Engineer
DCP is a multi-national company, with operations in over 20 countries, and over 90 years of experience serving the construction industry with innovative products and solutions. The company specializes in developing, manufacturing, and marketing innovative construction materials, and offers one of the most extensive product ranges on the market.
The company is looking to recruit a Technical Engineer to join the head office technical department.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical support to the sales and specification staff in the operating companies of DCP, by studying enquires from all regions, and providing correct product proposal (and/or) system.
- Conduct the needed analysis and technical research to establish a better understanding of the product's technical properties and their compliance.
- Involved in the R&D research for product testing and development as well as evaluating competitors’ products.
- Create, review and update technical content (TDS, Method Statement, Specification Clause, etc.) to ensure compliance with products’ specifications and all testing methods and the new requirements and demands of the market.
- Problem-solving activities, including replying to consultants’ comments.
- Prepare comparison studies with competitors’ products.
- Provide technical presentations to clients and consultants, through seminars and visits.
- Prepare periodic reports
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 0 to 2 years of experience in relevant industry
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Self-motivated and able to work within a team
- Excellent computer skills including AutoCAD, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
- Positive team player
