Subject Matter Expert (SME)
The Health Care Accreditation Council is a not-for-profit organization based in Jordan, specialized in improving quality and safety in health care facilities, services and programs, and fostering patient-centered care through developing internationally accepted standards, developing, and implementing quality management systems, building the capacity of administrators and providers as well as awarding accreditation and monitoring compliance.
The Health Care Accreditation Council is seeking to recruit a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support its engagement with “Enhancing the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and their Access to Services in Jordan (ERAS)” one year project, which is funded by Christian Blind Mission (CBM) and implemented in the partnership with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) . The subject Matter expert will assist in the development of community rehabilitation standards with the practical engagement of consultative group of specialists to enrich, review and validate the content.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in community rehabilitation services (Community Based Inclusive development)
- Qualified to work in community rehabilitation services to enhance the access of persons with disabilities to services (qualified by education and/or training and experience)
- Has previous experience in developing and/or reviewing standards.
- Has previous experience with the national and international organizations (e.g., UN, USAID, UNFPA, CBOs, INGOS , etc.)
Skills:
- Good command of Arabic and English language both spoken and written
- Good computer skills including use of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Facilitation skills
- Teamwork skills
Main Duties:
- Supporting the development of community rehabilitation Standards.
- Facilitating technical taskforce meetings with key stakeholders and the project technical committee members.
- Conducting field visits to test and validate the standards.
- Reporting of activities.
