Jeeny is a mobile application that eases daily commuting and transportation. We are a joint venture between MEIG (Middle East Internet Group) – Rocket Internet and IMENA. We have offices in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Dammam, Khobar, Amman, Lahore and Karachi.

Our expanding business is searching for a committed Public Relations and Communication Specialist to lead the external communications for our mobility offerings, which include rides, micro-mobility, transit, and more. The location of the position will be Amman, Jordan.
Job Responsibilities:
- Defining and implementing communications plans for issues that have a big impact on the company's or a product's brand.
- Develop, manage and execute PR communication plans that take business strategy, product direction, and market position into account.
- Collaborates closely with the marketing team to develop and carry out initiatives that are in line with the brand and the business's overall communication strategy.
- Creating communication materials such as news releases, talking points, presentations, and other forms of communication for both external and internal audiences.
- Create a plan for key representatives of our product categories to engage with the outside world, such as through speaking engagements, conferences, and panels.
- Run proactive media relations efforts on prominent or challenging situations.
- Handle corporate partnerships aligned with our monthly objectives and KPIs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in public relations, marketing, journalism, or business or equivalent work experience
- 3 years experience in communications, policy, and/or journalism
- strong public relations, media relations and press release writing
- A skilled communicator who can use their vast range of powerful contacts in the media to deliver our story in an engaging way.
- Must be a strategic planner and creative thinker with a clear and strong vision
- Knowledge of how to translate difficult ideas into understandable consumer communications
- Ability to represent Jeeny with independence and discretion
- Experience as a media spokesperson is a plus
- A combination of in-house and PR agency experience is a plus
