The General Counsel will be responsible for providing legal guidance and support to our organisation and ensuring that all legal matters are handled in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in the investment fund industry and be familiar with the regulatory environment in the UAE and other relevant jurisdictions.

Description
Provide legal guidance and support to the organisation on a variety of matters, including investment transactions, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk managementAdvise on the structuring and formation of investment vehicles, including funds and SPVsDraft and negotiate legal agreements, including investment documents, service provider contracts, and vendor agreementsReview and advise on legal and regulatory filings, including offering memorandums, prospectuses, and regulatory filingsLiaise with external legal counsel on complex legal mattersStay up-to-date with relevant legal and regulatory developments and advise the organisation on their potential impact
Profile
LLB and LLM from accredited universityAdmission to practice law in the UAE or other relevant jurisdiction10-15 years of experience practising Law, with at least 5 years of experience in the investment fund industryStrong knowledge of investment fund regulations and compliance requirements in the UAE and other relevant jurisdictionsExcellent drafting and negotiating skills, with experience in drafting complex legal agreementsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, external legal counsel, and other stakeholdersA team player with a can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and on budget
