DESIGNATION: Finance Manager
AUTHORITY: Chief Financial Officer
DEPARTMENT: Finance Desirable
Knowledge and skills:
At least 5-8 years’ work experience within UAE banking. Project management skills Knowledge of business development activities
Scope: To ensure that the Finance Department provides a professional financial support service to the company, its senior managers and subsidiaries, in a timely accurate and relevant manner To ensure all financial transactions are recorded and processed in compliance with the agreed internal control framework in a timely and accurate manner To ensure management accounts, budgets, forecasts and annual financial statements are prepared to agreed timescales supported by appropriate reconciliations To ensure the integrity of the company’s financial systems, including all feeder systems, providing robust financial appraisal and monitoring of business development and capital projects Deputies for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), in their absence and work with the CFO to implement strategic decisions Dimensions of the job: Duties are carried out for the company and all its subsidiaries, associated and connected entities Qualifications Ø Degree in related discipline (Accounting, Finance, Economics) Ø Professional qualification from a recognized CCAB accountancy body (ACCA, CA, CIMA, ICAEW) – professional qualifications of equal standing from other countries will be considered
JD-Ø To ensure that the Finance Department provides a professional financial support service to the company, its senior managers and subsidiaries in a timely accurate and relevant manner
Ø To ensure all financial transactions are recorded and processed in compliance with the agreed internal control framework in a timely and accurate manner
Ø To ensure management accounts, annual financial statements are prepared to agreed timescales supported by appropriate reconciliations; including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements
Ø Comprehensive monthly balance sheet reconciliations for each balance sheet item
Ø To ensure the integrity of the company’s financial systems, including all feeder systems, and provide robust financial appraisal and monitoring of business development and capital projects
Ø Manage, lead and develop the finance team
Ø Develop, review and maintain financial policies and procedures
Ø Develop and maintain the Finance Manual
Ø Identify areas of cost management and control
Ø Develop and report key business Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
Ø Business partner; support to budget holders and heads of departments across the company, through monthly meetings to discuss performance against expectations, and agree action plans
Ø Assist the Chief Financial Officer to formulate strategic plans
Ø Assist the Chief Financial Officer in the annual budget setting process
Ø Assist the Chief Financial Officer in maintaining the corporate risk register
Ø Manage and develop finance systems; evaluate and implement efficiencies, integration with other IT systems
Ø Treasury: prepare weekly and monthly cash forecasts with emphasis on liquidity management
Ø Manage the annual audit process; liaise with external auditors to audit completion, completion of external audit within agreed deadline
Ø Produce draft financial accounts pack and related schedules for annual external audit
Ø Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders; departmental heads, suppliers, customers, bank, external and internal auditors
Ø Excellent knowledge of IFRS; monitor and advice on changes in accounting standards, and impact on financial reporting
Ø Ensure all statutory and other returns are completed accurately, within set deadlines and payments made in accordance with time limits
Ø Manage and appraise all direct reports and ensure their technical and development needs are identified
Ø Maintain the framework of internal control and delegated authority appropriate to the company’s scale, risk and operations
Ø Maintain the confidentiality of the Data.
Ø Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
Ø Develop and implement safe working practices for concerned department
Ø Prepare and maintain inspection reports within the department
Ø Ensure Incidents are reported, recorded and support investigations
Ø Reprimand employees failing to discharge HSE responsibilities.
Salary : AED 40,000/ to AED 45000 (Negotiable)
