KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide specialized support to logistics operations and activities, following standard processes and contributing, directly or indirectly, to the effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries.

  • Identify, resolve and/or provide recommendations on specialised queries/requests for support, using initiative and following standard processes, to ensure timely and accurate resolution of enquiries with excellent client service mind-set.

  • Support oversight for commodity accounting data quality , Supply Chain funds management and integrity.

  • Analyse operational pipeline and contribute to assessments and operational planning for all delivery modalities, to ensure that supply chain requirements are taken into consideration.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support Country Office’s logistics operations management and contribute to effective service delivery.

  • Supervise the work of support staff, providing practical advice and guidance, to ensure individual and team objectives are delivered to agreed standards and deadlines for all assistance modalities.

  • Review the budget from Country Office, ensuring the alignment of supply chain costs with the supply chain matrices;

  • Review / analyze the FTC (Food Transfer Cost) monitoring reports submitted by the Country Offices, highlighting impacts of FTC deficit or surplus and provide recommendations to the Country Offices and alerts to Supply Chain management.

  • Provide advice and guidance to the Country Offices in the preparation of new supply chain matrices and disseminate corporate guidelines to COs;

  • Assist in the commodity data reconciliation, as part of the Annual Country Report (ACR) exercise;

  • Perform data entry in corporate EPR System – LESS (Logistics Execution Support System), as required to support Country Office operations;

  • Support logistics emergency preparedness and response activities, deploy to emergency operations as required;

  • Support monitoring and managing the donor’s grant validity dates (i.e. Terminal Obligation Date (TOD) and Terminal Disbursement Date (TDD)).

  • Participate and co-facilitate training in supply chain area including, but not limited to, commodity accounting, contracting and other supply chain systems and processes to CO staff and other stakeholders;

  • Perform other related duties are quired.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Completion of secondary school education. A university degree in Logistics / Supply Chain Management, International Relations, Business Administration, Management, Finance, Data Science or related fields would be an advantage.

Experience:

  • At least six years of progressively responsible support experience including at least four years in the field of logistics, transport, warehouse management, finance, accounting, operations, or another related field.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing relevant technical data from diverse sources to foresee operational needs under various scenarios;
  • Experience in maintaining corporate systems and running queries on ongoing shipments, pipeline information and food stock;
  • Experience in administering third party service providers’ contracts;
  • Experience in budget preparation, monitoring and reporting.

Languages:

Working knowledge of English language is required and additional local language a plus.
