BACKGROUND

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. The Management Services Division (MSD) continues to look for digital solutions to meet the growing demand from the organization and implement the initiatives related to digital transformation.
The Senior Digital Manager will work in the MSDD branch to support digital transformation projects for the Management Services Division. The Management Services Division includes workstreams focusing on Accommodation, Mobility, Aviation, Asset, Facilities, Fleet, Mobility and Travel Management, as well as Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, and Environmental Sustainability, among other services critical to enabling WFP colleagues to live and work throughout WFP's global operations.
PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
We are looking for an experienced Digital Manager to oversee the development of current and new digital solutions to innovate service provisioning, simplify business processes, increase accountability, create efficiency gains and to create a data-driven decision-making culture.
In terms of responsibilities, the Senior Digital Manager:
- Manages digital transformation projects supporting business functions in formulating Business Requirements for the digitalization of services through process analysis and business case proposals;
- Ensures customer journey excellence through a recognizable and consistent UXUI, highly tailored to address each service uniqueness and stakeholders needs;
- Harmonizes requirements from various business lines to achieve standardization and reusability of components reducing lead time;
- Supports the coordination of the pool of external developers per service line across WFP internal functions and UN Agencies;
- Cooperates with solution designers and system architects to ensure digital design covers business requirements and is future proof;
- Ensures digital solution documentation is updated including dependencies and connections mapping, user accesses and roles, data matrix, product roadmap;
- Ensures a common approach to development following WFP guidelines and directives and in alignment with relevant stakeholders;
- Ensures a common approach on data availability for internal and external reporting tools and on an integration layer for internal and external data exchange and actions;
- Supports, develops and rolls out security measures in orchestration with relevant stakeholders including penetration test, vulnerability scan, disaster recovery simulation, load test, cloud infrastructure analysis for performance and resource saving;
- Keeps updated master development plan with forecast and actual costs to feed the budget planning, request and optimized use;
- Supports managing WFP IT technical supervision and its internal approval governance;
- Ensures business continuity of services by interfacing TEC for platform fault preparedness;
- Minimizes reputational risks by mitigating in any possible way and with innovative tools and processes possible platform defaults (i.e. mail servers).
As this position will be remotely based, in order to be eligible for this position, the candidate must have consistent and reliable internet connection from their remote location.
