The Learning & Development Lead will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees. This individual will work closely with the Talent Management team, department heads and leads to identify training needs and create programs that meet the organization's goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and development, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a proven track record of success in developing and delivering effective training programs.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Identifying and Assessing Training Needs: Conduct surveys, focus groups, and consultation with department heads and leads to identify training needs and areas for improvement.
- Designing and Developing Training Programs: Design and develop training programs and materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, and instructor-led training, that meet the identified needs and align with Avertra’s goals. Ensure that all programs and materials are engaging, relevant, and effective.
- Delivering Training Programs: facilitate the execution of training programs and workshops to employees with the Avertra trainers, ensuring that all participants are engaged and that the content is delivered effectively. Ensure that all training sessions are well-organized and that all materials are up-to-date and accurate.
- Evaluating Training Effectiveness: Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as necessary. This may involve analyzing participant feedback, measuring performance improvements, and making recommendations for future training initiatives.
- Staying Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new developments in learning and development, and incorporate them into training programs as appropriate.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with different department heads and leads to develop and implement a talent development strategy that aligns with Avertra’s goals. Ensure that all training programs are aligned with this strategy and support the corporate goals.
- Managing Learning Management System: Manage the learning management system and ensure all training records are accurate and up-to-date. Ensure that all employees have access to the training materials they need and that all training records are easily accessible.
- Full Management of the Avertra Academy: Manage the Avertra Academy by developing and overseeing the Academy framework, the courses, the trainers, the schedules, the syllabus, and the delivery
- Performance Management: Designing and implementing effective performance management strategies and programs that align with Avertra’ s goals, identify and address skill gaps, foster a culture of continuous learning and development among employees while also differentiating the different needs of Avertra’s functional and technical roles

Education:
Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration or any related field
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Learning & Development with at least 2 years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design theories
- Skilled in the use of e-learning
Preferences:
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
