What will you do in this position?
Romania office is a main logistics corridor for WFP’s Ukraine operation. This role will play a key role in WFP supply chain operations in Romania. The incumbent will work to implement well-defined standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities.

How can you make a difference?
In this position, you will have to:
• Prepare, verify, and sign off transport documents, and maintain confidential files and accurate transport transaction records to ensure immediate reporting on commodity movements in line with the corporate requirements.
• Assist in management of commodity accounting data quality and integrity.
• Support operational pipeline analyses, assessments, and operational planning for all delivery modalities.
• Collect and compile data, produce and/or contribute to reports (e.g. Outstanding Delivery Report, MMC report, physical inventory status report, losses report, warehouse management report, consolidated delivery report) and ensure information accuracy in corporate systems in support to informed decision-making.
• Support timely ordering and delivery of commodities and supplies to authorized partners and destinations.
• Respond to a variety of technical queries/requests for support, following standard processes, and obtaining guidance as required, to ensure timely and accurate resolution of all enquiries with a high standard of client service mind-set.
• Assist in monitoring inventory management processes to track trends and account for the inventory status from source to beneficiary.
• Provide technical support in the SAP corporate system.
• Provide support to logistics operations and activities, following standard processes and facilitating, directly or indirectly, the effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries.
• Participate in monthly physical inventory checks and reconciliation of PI count stock and SAP corporate system stock.
• Liaise with internal and limited number of external stakeholders to support efficient logistics operations management.
• Any other duties as required.

Education: Advanced university degree in transport economics, supply chain, logistics, engineering, business management or other related fields; or a first university degree with additional years of experience and/or training courses.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of relevant postgraduate professional experience in the supply chain, retail, coordinating service providers’ contract execution, overseeing and managing the coherent flow of information to enable traceability, and/or related fields..
Knowledge & Skills: Specifically, we are looking for:
• Experience coordinating service providers’ contract execution.
• Experience overseeing and managing the coherent flow of information to enable traceability.
• Experience in report writing.
Language: Fluency (level C) in both English and Romanian language.
