Job Description An SEO Senior Strategist working within the Agency division is responsible for building and adapting new SEO strategies across major accounts. The SEO Senior Strategist will lead a team of SEO Strategists, Analysts, and Associates by offering strategy guidance, hands-on client support, and continuous SEO expertise. The SEO Senior Strategist will also work collaboratively with other the Agency departments to create world class, comprehensive digital marketing strategies across a portfolio of key accounts. Reports to: Director of SEO Work Schedule Full-Time, CST 8:30am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday. (Night Shift – India) SEO Senior Strategists will: Strategy o Manage a portfolio of key accounts to hone in personal SEO skills, improve processes, and relay to team o Create and use up-to-date SEO strategies for On-Page and Off-Page including: content, technical, backlinks, CRO, etc. o Onboard new accounts and manage the overall strategy for the duration of the onboarding process o Work with Director & other Senior Strategists, as well as other departments, to find and utilize new SEO products that streamline processes o Monitor, analyze, and communicate the effectiveness of SEO and other marketing efforts through in-depth data & trend analysis, using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and other SEO tools o Perform A/B testing on new and existing ideas to ensure team is following SEO best practices o Other duties as assigned.

Team Assistance

o Manage/Assist in SEO strategy and individual SEO growth of the SEO Agency division

o Effectively & efficiently communicate new and existing strategies and results to client and internal teams

o Ensure that SEO strategies and execution meets the standards of the Agency

o Assist in training new and existing SEOs

o Support on client calls / client call preparation

o Monitor Onboarding clients and assist on any communication or execution

o Monitoring new team member progress {report-up}

o Monitor Client Deliverables (Notes, Sales, Quality of notes)

o Provide insights from a client-facing perspective for internal initiatives

o Work closely with the Director of SEO to improve work-flow and efficiencies on the team

o Assist with monthly account transitions

o Other duties as assigned.

Major Accounts Defined As:

• Total monthly top-line SEO revenue for an individual account greater than $3,500/mo OR

• Brand building opportunity through leveraging our involvement with said account OR

• Any account that utilizes our “Enterprise SEO plan” and structure

A Day in the Life:

• Work with SEO team members to adopt a new SEO strategy across all accounts

• Manage the progress on new strategy adoption or key initiatives division-wide

• Learn more about an upcoming Google algorithm update and how to adjust

• strategies across portfolio

• Troubleshoot an issue in GA with tracking form submissions on a client’s website.

• Lead a team standup to talk about ongoing strategies and troubleshoot potential issues.

• Assist team with SEO problems through hands-on training or delegation.

• Participate in a client call and explain the measured success of your strategy in layman terms.

• Receive a client problem from an account manager and work collaboratively to create a strategy to address the issue.

• Attend a leadership training with other current and future leaders within the company

Required Qualifications:

• Strong communicator, critical & strategic thinker, organized, and adaptable & open to change

• 6+ years’ experience in SEO or related fields

• 7+ years’ experience in a professional environment handling detail-oriented tasks.

• Strong understanding of digital marketing tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush (or an equivalent tool), Google Tag Manager, etc.

• Proficient in computer and internet skills, strong writing skills and abilities

• Proficient in Google Sheets &/or Excel

• Experience managing a team of peers

Preferred Qualifications:

• College Degree or equivalent; preferred degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration, etc.

• Web development/design skills, HTML, and CSS

• Experience working in an agency setting

  • • Relevant experience in Automotive, Legal, or Ecommerce Marketing
