Purchase Director
Purchase Director will oversee the purchasing function of the organization, ensuring that all procurement activities are carried out in a timely, cost-effective and efficient manner. They will work closely with other departments to ensure that the procurement needs of the organization are met, and that purchasing policies and procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the organization's purchasing strategy in line with company goals and objectives.
- Identify and source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and develop supplier relationships to ensure the best possible pricing and terms.
- Manage the procurement process, including supplier selection, purchase order generation, order tracking, and delivery tracking.
- Develop and maintain purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and manage the purchasing budget, including tracking and reporting on purchasing activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that purchasing activities meet the needs of the organization.
- Manage and lead the purchasing team, providing coaching and mentoring as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and standards.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain supplier relationships. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to lead a team and provide coaching and mentoring as needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
