Job Purpose :

The Strategy and Planning Manager supports the development and the execution of long-term Company strategy. He project manages the implementation of the strategic roadmap, including monitoring progress, providing guidance, ensuring that everyone is working towards the agreed plan. He acts as a PMO (project management office) for the strategic roadmap program.

Principal Accountability:

  • Leads the development and implementation/execution of the long term company strategy plans
  • Responsible for the continuous strategy implementation for each strategic objective and associated projects, in conjunction with the owners of the objectives and the assigned project managers
  • Develops and implements the Balanced Scorecard methodology: establish appropriate governance, providence guidance to each of the stakeholders involved, implements the control measures to continually monitor the progress and challenges
  • Develops business policies and processes, including risk position and boundary setting
  • Continuous mapping of interdependencies between strategies, initiatives and projects
  • Manages strategic consultancy partnerships if and when required
  • Leads manages the change management programme
  • Leads key relationship efforts with the internal executive/senior management team through collaboration of activities and projects
  • Leads and facilitate strategic workshops/team engagement activities
  • Leads stakeholder relationship/communication and “on-boarding” and staff engagement related to the five year business plan and key activities and associated projects
  • Other duties that may be assigned by the CEO

Indicative KPIs :

  • Development of quantifiable metrics and dashboards that reflects how well he the strategy execution is achieving its stated goals and objectives
  • Monthly goal reviews
  • Weekly project reviews
  • Updated metrics and progress/status reports available and sent to stakeholders at agreed intervals

Education/ Qualification:

Bachelor Degree Level (minimum) – a relevant qualification in one of the following disciplines: Strategy, Project Management, Facilities Management, Business Management, Finance Management, Change Management, or Engineering.

Work Experience :

>5 years of experience in strategy and planning and change management, with increasing levels of responsibility.
