Daily Worker (Data Collection) – Jordan (Amman)

Role of the M&E Enumerators.

  • Conduction of face-to-face data collection (75%)
  • Preparation of data collection exercises with households (10 %)
  • Reporting and dissemination (15 %)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF M&E Enumerators

  1. Conduction of data collection via home visits (40%)
  • Conduct face-to-face interviews and FGDs in different working areas as needed.
  • Support MEAL and Project teams in collecting information from the field site through qualitative tools.
  • Taking notes and co-facilitating FGDs and Interviews with MEAL.
  1. Data entry (30%)
  • Ensure that data collected is entered and verified on daily bases.
  • Strictly respect the total confidentiality of data collected and entered.
  1. Reporting and dissemination (30%)
  • Promptly report on the data collected information daily to the MEAL.
  • Report potential problems, challenges or constraints faced in the field to the MEAL Manager.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other departments of the organisation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University Student or fresh graduate (experience in the field is not a pre-requisite but would be a plus)
  • Good English
  • Basic computer skills and online data collection on SurveyCTO, Kobo or ODK.
  • Qualitative data collection.
  • Very Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Native Arabic, Good command of English written
  • Respectful of each HI member’s positions, work, and speciality.
  • Willingness to spend time in the field.
  • Respect the confidentiality of information.

LOCATION

The job holder will be based in Amman, with travel to various areas in Jordan (mainly Irbid, Mafraq and Zarqa) based on the need.

Other conditions and Arrangements

HI will provide the following:

  • Resources (Printing and Meeting room at HI Office and/or partner location for training).
  • Communication package (reimbursement of communication costs)
  • Work-related transport, based on need and according to HI logistics procedures.
  • Data collection tools (Tablet/laptop)

Duration

  • The Duration of the contract will be from 1st March 2023 to 30th April 2023 (in total, 10 working days).
  • The number of working days will be according to the MEAL needs.
  • The payment will be made at the end of the contract and according to the number of worked days.
  • Paid reimbursement shall include all personal expenses to be handled by the daily workers (including transportation to the office in Amman). Other transportation needs to and from the field will be the responsibility of HI.

HI workers must adhere to the values and principles outlined in HI Code of conduct. In accordance with these values, HI operates and enforces policies on Beneficiary Protection from Exploitation and Abuse, Child Safeguarding, Anti-fraud, bribery, and corruption.
