Azure Infrastructure Engineer
About the job
Azure Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and managing the infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with other members of the IT team to ensure that the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure.
What you’ll do
- Deploy and manage Azure resources, such as virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Collaborate with application teams to design infrastructure in Azure for applications and services, including compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring.
- Implement Azure security controls, such as network security groups, access control, and Azure Security Center, to protect Azure resources and data.
- Support the automation of infrastructure deployment and configuration tasks using tools such as PowerShell, ARM templates, and Azure CLI.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Azure-based infrastructure and services.
- Integrate Azure Cloud-based solutions with other Cloud or on-premises workloads to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and support issues related to performance, security, and capabilities of Cloud-based solutions.
- Monitor, audit, and report on Azure service usage, escalate issues, and provide reporting for leadership.
- Analyze daily/weekly/monthly cloud costs and make recommendations for cost optimization.
What you’ll need
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in implement, manage and support infrastructure, network security for large enterprise-scale applications
- Proven experience in designing and managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, and Networking.
- Experience with Azure networking, including virtual networks, subnets, load balancers, and Azure Firewall.
- Experience with Microsoft DMA Data Migration Assistant and Microsoft Assessment and Planning MAP Toolkit for data migration to Azure.
- Knowledge of Azure Migrate for workload migration and Azure Backup for data protection.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or other tools.
- Familiarity with Azure Blueprints for automated deployment and governance of Azure resources.
- Understanding of Azure security concepts and best practices.
- Proven experience in Azure administration, including managing Azure subscriptions, resource groups, RBAC, and Azure AD.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues quickly and effectively.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are a plus.
