BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The post is based in Beirut Country Office. Its purpose is to maintain the day-to-day management of WFP contracted Retailers to ensure the successful operation of the Food E-card Programme.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):
Under the direct supervision of the Retail Officer, the job holder will be responsible for the following key duties:
Ensure the Day-to-Day Contract Management of WFP Contracted Retailers
- Process new contracts for retailers including chairing of PCC meetings.
- Maintain up to date shop list to be shared with all stakeholders on a regular basis (Programme, IT, CBT, etc.)
- Support the Retail Officer with the Shop Management Group (SMG) meeting comprising of key stakeholders (DCD, Head of Emergency Response, Head of VAM, etc.) to discuss and issue sanctions for retailers during contract period.
- Prepare sanctions to retailers (warning letters) and coordinate follow-up actions as required (field visits or other actions)
- Keep up to date records of all performance management activities for WFP contracted retailers.
Act as the liaison to the Financial Service Provider for all day-to-day activities
- Liaise with the Financial Service Provider (FSP) to ensure bank accounts are opened and maintained for WFP contracted retailers.
- Resolve any issues that arise from operations (redemption issues, etc.) including liaising with Field Offices for their confirmations.
- Liaise with the bank for all account management requirements during contract (Freezing of POS, POS retrieval, etc.)
Support Retail Activities for the Food E-card Programme
- Coordinate shop assessments to contract new retailers across Lebanon.
- Conduct onboarding sessions for new retailers.
- Perform other duties as required.
