Health Coordinator

JOB TITLE: Health Coordinator

LOCATION: Refugee Camps

POST TYPE: National

External representation and communications: Level 2

-Regular contacts require the exchange of basic factual information to suppliers, beneficiaries or other partners

-Little impact on the reputation and performance of the organization

CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 2 – the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have limited contact with children ,with an access to personal data about children and/or young people.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the Community health volunteers on a district level by conducting daily visits.

• Plan the volunteer's activities on a block-level in their district.

• Monitor the project activities with the project officer, and make sure that the goals and objectives are achieved.

• Attend the project-related meetings in the camp.

• Maintain accurate information flow between the volunteers, partners, and project staff.

• Collect project-required data and obtain regular statistical analysis.

• Prepare the team daily, weekly and monthly reports with a specific focus on statistical information coming from the volunteers.

• Prepare and facilitate any necessary training to the project staff either officers, volunteers, or other SCJ components.

• Collaborate with other SCJ components in the camp.

• Work closely with the other committees on the district level.

• Participate in and monitor the health campaigns and awareness sessions.

• Visit the cases which come from the volunteers which need extra health assessment

• Following up on the Cerebral palsy cases-NCD’s cases – vaccination cases or other health cases and compiling the monthly report to be submitted to the focal point.

  • Prepare the procurements request and follow up on the process

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in medicine – public health – pharmacy or other related health fields

• Minimum 3-5 years’ previous experience in health and community health projects.

  • Refugee camp experience.
