Background

JOHUD is one of the oldest and widest NGOs in Jordan, with a unique national footprint and community links, stemming from more than 45 years of working from and with local communities, in cooperation with regional and international donors, governmental and private sector entities, and civil society organizations. However, it is our presence at the community level and the historic relationships that we have within these communities that define JOHUD as an organization.

The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) is looking to hire a senior manager (all Jordanian or non-Jordanian applicants fitting the criteria are welcome) for its Project Management Office (PMO).

The role of Senior PMO Manager will include:

– Managing the development of planning, control and information arrangements with and across Johud’s departments, whilst leading the coordination and establishment process of an ERP system with and across the whole organisation

– Working with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement overall strategic direction for the PMO team, including establishing systems, processes and tools

– Overseeing the provision of high quality management input to all stakeholders for all required programme or project progress and issues, to support ongoing operational planning and delivery including tracking and monitoring and evaluation

– Identifying and providing recommendations for continuous improvement of PMO, including the provision of information and resources to assist project plans, risk management, IT and communication plans and facilitation activities

– Responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of assurance, governance, quality management, risk management, change management and reporting, as well as overseeing the successful running of the resourcing calendar for all project portfolios

Skills and experience:

– Comprehensive experience of managing Project Management Office services fo medium to large scale projects/portfolios, with an understanding of a full project life cycle and all roles within the PMO

– Proven experience in working with others to effectively deliver projects

– Proven experience of managing staff, liaising with senior stakeholders and relationship building

– Comprehensive experience in mapping processes and building tools to support ERP activities and deliver business needs, including reviewing and improving existing processes and tools

– Strong analytical and verbal/written communication and presentation skills

– Strong organisational, project management, IT and financial planning skills

Qualifications:

– At least 5 years experience in project management, preferably with ERP implementation.

– BS/BA and or MS/MA in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Development Studies, or any relevant field.

– English and or Arabic fluency.
