Production Manager

Basic Function: A Production Manager is a key position for the company’s sales and representation related works. You'll be involved with the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes based on the product specifications and other requirements. Likewise, you’ll make sure that goods are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality. Providing necessary advisory documentation or writing up production reports, production projection and process supervision will be part of your forte.

Principal Accountabilities:

Work activities typically involve:

  1. To understand and follow the principles, regulation and the values of the company.
  2. To receive, understand and act according in management’s instruction, giving tasks, target and timeline.
  3. To actively advice regarding the creation of the production line, type of machines and raw materials to be used in the pilot production period.
  4. To project the amount of raw materials to be used in the pilot production period.
  5. Proactively manage production process and fulfillment of production output as per the target output.
  6. Planning and Organizing production schedules based on the present requirement and Purchase order.
  7. Assessing project and resource requirements based on the materials present and performance of the production equipment.
  8. Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with managers as per clients requirement.
  9. Supports Sales team and Technical team for needed insights regarding product concepts
  10. Ensuring that health and safety and housekeeping regulations are met based on applicable local and international regulations
  11. Determining quality control standards for the production line and overall production process.
  12. Overseeing production processes and implement initiatives to ensure production efficiency and minimize over run cost.
  13. Re-negotiating timescales or schedules, as necessary
  14. Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials and ensuring prompt delivery and quality is at par with the standard.
  15. Fix any production problems in the most effective manner.
  16. Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
  17. liaising with buyers and marketing and sales staff
  18. Supervising the work of junior staff and production team.
  19. Ensure communications to reach the members of the staff.
  20. Motivating the production staff, as needed.
  21. forming relevant training sessions, as needed.
  22. Other related tasks as per management directives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. KNOWLEDGE IN STEEL INDUSRTY
  2. EXPERIENCE IN PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT, SCHEDULING, PROCESS MAPPING, PRODUCTIVITY MANAGEMENT
  3. BS INDUSTRIAL/MECHANICAL ENGINEERING OR EQUIVALENT
