Overview of the role:

To provide support to the Business and Project Management teams (depending on nature and size of project).

Functionally reporting to Snr Planning Manager/Planning Director.

Job Context:

Define organizational policy and other factors that have a critical impact on the job.

What you will do:

Responsible for:

Day to Day Operations

  • Assist in the analysis of tender information and preparation of tender programmes
  • Assist in the preparation of master/ contract programmes
  • Analyse Labour Resource and Plant
  • Analyse and evaluate construction methods and techniques
  • Assist in the preparation of prelims
  • Prepare procurement and information schedules
  • Comment on logistics and methods of working
  • Identify complex construction and associated risk/opportunities
  • Assist in resolving the problems
  • Assist in assessing project progress positions & production of weekly progress reports

  • Ensure that all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety, quality of services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed within AFC

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Excellent understanding of infrastructure/construction, enterprise, innovation and business growth issue
  • Good knowledge of local legislation
  • Proficient in the use of Primavera planning software and have extensive experience of using it in a commercial environment
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of the planning profession and development process.
  • Knowledge of personnel management, including supervision, training and performance evaluation
  • Preferably Licensed Engineer

Minimum Experience:

  • Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years project planning role and or technical experience and have a minimum 2 years’ experience PQE with intermediate level qualifications
  • Experience of supporting a business contract and/or providing support to a professional function
