The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), established in 1977, is the leading non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting rights-based sustainable human development in Jordan and in the region. Across Jordan, through a network of 50 community development centers, JOHUD helps people work together to improve livelihoods and to ensure that everyone has access to the entitlements that contribute to healthy and fulfilled lives.
JOHUD is seeking to hire a case manager. Case Manager is responsible to promote quality and effective outcomes through communication and the provision of appropriate resources to meet an individual and family’s needs. The process includes assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and overall evaluation of individual and family needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Promote knowledge and understanding of case management processes and principles across JOHUD’s protection projects.
- Apply guiding principles in working with children and women, and being guided by the best interest of the child in all actions at all times.
- Work in close, daily collaboration with the JOHUD teams to ensure women and girls have safe, discrete and confidential access to services via the internal and external referral procedures.
- Identify concerns related to and support adherence to GBV referral protocols and GBV guiding principles
- Familiarity with child development and children’s wellbeing.
- Communicate and work effectively and appropriately with children of various ages and their families, including those who have experienced difficult situations and experiences.
- Collaborate with beneficiaries to plan, implement, monitor, and amend individualized services that promote beneficiaries’ strengths, advance beneficiaries’ wellbeing, and help beneficiaries achieve their goals.
- Ensuring accurate, professional and timely case management of service needs is provided to all beneficiaries.
- Contribute to the maintenance of an up-to-date service mapping of the service providers operating in the area and take proactive steps to remain informed about the available services.
- Be the contact point for needs assessment and follow up.
- Provide and coordinate services and follow-up of service provision.
- Document all case management activities in the appropriate beneficiaries record in a timely manner.
- Advocate for the rights, decisions, strengths, and needs of children and women, and promote their access to resources, supports, and services.
- Promote collaboration among colleagues and organizations to enhance service delivery and facilitate beneficiaries goal attainment.
- Ensure involvement of local authorities, community leaders, and community groups in creating community-based protection mechanisms.
- Provide regular updates and reports to child protection and GBV team leader as required; contribute to donor reports and internal JOHUD reports as required.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested by Supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Psychology, Sociology or any related majors.
- At least 1 year of child/women protection and safeguarding experience in NOGs.
- Demonstrate skills and abilities needed to work with children.
- Demonstrate a solid knowledge in child protection national SOPs.
- Demonstrate a solid knowledge in protection from sexual exploitation and abuse.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Language Requirement
- Fluency in Arabic and good skills in English
