Lease Lead

Summary

The Lease Lead – Azadea Business Services is responsible for supervising accounting services and overseeing activities of the Lease accounting unit in order to deliver an effective and efficient end to end service to the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze Lease reports from statistical and functional metrics, highlighting insights for improvement and efficiency maximization in a timely manner. Lead the process of lease agreement data extraction and input to Visual Lease for the general information, commercial/financial terms, critical dates, and special conditions.
  • Ensure ongoing development of accounting procedures and system processes to ensure a proactive accounting system, that will support the ongoing development of accounting standards Covering Lease, lease policies, lease treatments & master lease systems.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)/International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and company procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of customer service and productive working relationships with stakeholders to foster business improvement and objective achievement, as well as work closely with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
  • Oversee and validate the preparation of financial reports pertaining to Lease & Payables in an accurate and timely manner, Supervise the maintenance of IFRS 16 calculation, Turn over rent & Capped rent, ensure data is updated properly, and supervise the maintenance of the financial data between ERP & Lease Module to ensure systems are coherent.
  • Oversee the cash flow management to ensure proper movement of cash and manage receivables and ensure adequate control are in place.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate his / her team to ensure that the department has the necessary skill base and that staff is optimally motivated and enabled to maximize their potential and contribution to the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or accounting. A Master’s degree is a plus
  • 7-9 years of experience in a similar field.
  • IFRS 16 Certified is a must.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Fluency in English.
