Job Description:

  • Assist in tax compliance requirements and procedures in the KSA and other GCC countries
  • Support the local tax compliance filing, especially value added tax ("VAT"), Corporate Income Tax, withholding tax filing procedures.
  • Assist with global trade compliance projects as required.
  • Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted tax legislation, regulations and judicial decisions that impact the company operations and financial positions.
  • Perform tax validation, data reconciliation, VAT General Ledger accounts review on input tax and output tax and matching with the tax return(s), identify tax compliance issues/ red flags and provide recommendations/ practical solutions.
  • Preliminary review of draft monthly/quarterly/ annual local tax returns prepared by external advisors.
  • Support tax team to conduct periodical tax compliance checks on business units and highlight areas of exceptions with document compliance requirements.
  • Support in conducting tax training sessions with various stakeholders as and when required.
  • Provide tax advice/support on various service lines / business projects.
  • Assist in the implementation and control of new legislations, which will be issued from the Customs Authorities
  • Maintain knowledge of current import and export regulations and pending legislation; plan and implement changes to processes as required to address risks and respond to changes;
  • Responsible for determining Customs classifications and regulatory requirements (licenses, certificates, etc.)
  • Ensure the highest compliance levels for all customs and government agency requirements across all staff and teams.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of progressive tax working experience in GCC, with large MNC/Big4
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Taxation (or professional qualifications).
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Must have solid tax knowledge and analytical skills
  • Logistics industry working experience is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Detail-oriented individual, a good team player, honest, adaptable, keen-learner, diligent, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in professional English & Arabic (speaking and writing) as our tax compliance legislation is in Arabic
