A reputable retail company with over 38 years in the market hiring:(Senior Purchaser)

A senior purchaser will be a responsible, business-minded individual, who has excellent negotiation skills and a good standard of numeracy in order to analyze facts and figures. Effective negotiation and networking, help the business save money and increase profits by performing strategic procurement activities across multiple categories.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented team player who will oversee the entire order process. You will review proposals, negotiate prices, select the best suppliers, analyze trends, follow up with placed orders, verify delivery, approve a payment, and maintain necessary records.

· Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies;

· Maintain excellent current knowledge of the market, prices, and products.

. Stock Management

· Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers;

· Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness;

· Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms;

· Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power and their impact on future activities.

· Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking;

· Assess, manage, and mitigate risks;

· Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand;

. Stock take.

· Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules, and quality;

· Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, and relevant internal departments including finance and operations;

· Report on buying trends and customer needs & propose innovative ideas to increase market share;

· Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers;

. Maintaining the purchasing policy and ensuring that all purchases adhere to it

Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior purchaser

*3 Years of Retail background. Preferably in the toys industry.

*Excellent computer skills.

*Written and spoken English and Arabic required

*Excellent Excel skills

*Excellent reporting and presentation skills
