Position Summary
The role is responsible for the overall strategic direction and culture of the HR department for the Jordan office, and for overseeing the efficient and cost-effective management of the department’s daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Develops Strategies and Goals
• Working with the President, determines short- and long-term department objectives.
• Develops strategies to meet the established objectives.
• Works with department managers to determine monthly and annual goals and action plans.
• Working with Finance to develop the HR budget.
• Monitors expenses and ROI of key investments (e.g., recruitment budget).
• Develops initiatives to prepare the company for long-term growth (e.g., succession planning).
Oversees of Human Resources Manager
• Establishes performance standards and metrics.
• Oversees performance of daily HR operations (e.g., payroll, benefits enrollment, maintenance of employee files).
• Oversees Recruiting and Hiring
• Works with department leaders to determine present and future staffing needs.
• Works with the HR officer to source candidates, schedule interviews, onboard candidates, etc.
Directs Human Resources Initiatives
• Works with the Director to determine annual benefits strategy and program. Oversees implementation of the program.
• Oversees all employee-facing communication.
• Directs other initiatives as needed.
• Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Determines and tracks the KPIs necessary to ensure the effectiveness of the department and of individual agents within it.
• Reports on department KPIs to the management team.
Role Requirements:
• Bachelors’ Degree
• 10+ years’ HR experience, including 2 years in a supervisory/ managerial role
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong in English; bilingual in Spanish is a preference
• HR certification is a plus
• Familiarity with international operations.
