Job Vacancy Available in Amman, Jordan at Leading IT Company:
Job Title:Technical Support Engineer
Job Description:Maintaining IT operations, including Servers, Virtualization, O365 technologies, Microsoft Exchange, hardware, applications, security tools and monitoring tools.
Understanding of Windows server and client systems and knowledge of network operations (LAN / WLAN / WAN, routing, network security and telephony systems). Must possess troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose / resolve system problems. Must have experience in installation, maintenance and customization of Windows Server, Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware and Nutanix), and utilizing PowerShell. Should possess the ability to prioritize tasks in order of importance, work independently and as a team member and establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, as well as customers and vendors. Works on related items / projects assigned by IT Infrastructure Manager. Reports to IT Infrastructure Manager.
Responsibilities include:1. Provides support via phone, e-mail, and chat to clients.2. Provides support for Microsoft Windows Operating System3. Provides support for Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office365).4. Provides support for mobile devices including configuration and email sync.5. Assists users in adding and changing network printers.6. Provides technical support for remote workers, including VPN connectivity issues.7. Remote control of users’ computers utilizing remote access tools.8. Conducts self in a manner that is consistent with client service expectations.9. Configuration, management, and troubleshooting Windows Servers, VMware, Nutanix10. Work with Virtualization (Microsoft Hyper-V hosts, VMware and Nutanix), VMs and server clusters11. Work and manage Windows Server with PowerShell commands and scripts12. Work and maintain Microsoft Azure and O365 technologies13. Configure, troubleshoot and maintain backup and recovery systems14. Work with and troubleshoot networks, including switches, routers and firewalls15. Ability to solve problems and work independently, as well as work within the group and communicate issues and possible solutions effectively16. Work within the group to build and secure systems and monitor cyber security applications17. Create and maintain documentation
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Experience: minimum 2 years
Required Skills: Virtualization environment, storage and networking, system management and monitoring, PowerShell, O365 technologies, Backup Software, Firewall
Preferred Skills: Certifications: Microsoft and Cisco certifications (CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, MCP, A+) are preferred
