JOB PURPOSE

In particular, under the direct supervision of the AAP Officer, the AAP Programme Assistant will focus on expanding the AAP, CE and CFM (complaints and feedback mechanisms) portfolio of the governmental counterparts WFP Jordan is planning to provide Technical Assistance to.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

1. Provide support and assist in the development and implementation of various activities and processes within the area of Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP), complaints and feedback mechanism (CFM), and community engagement (CE).

2. Support and assist in the assessment, planning and implementation of complaints and feedback mechanism (CFM) processes for government entities and ensure alignment with policies and guidelines.

3. Support the AAP Officer in building knowledge on AAP principles and CFM under the social protection portfolio.

4. Support in building knowledge for social protection activities in case handling and referring process across different CFM channels.

5. Support in capacity building through conducting different types of AAP/CFM trainings for government concerned staff.

6. Support the AAP Officer in the coordination and collaboration with other stakeholders, including government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners to facilitate CFM implementation, integration and capacity building.

7. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support effective implementation of government CFM channels, aligned with CFM standards and manuals.

8. Any other tasks as required.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.

Experience:

• At least 5 years in relevant working experience.

• Desired experience with a humanitarian organization and operational implementation on AAP, CFM and CE.

• Experience with capacity building and interaction with governmental counterparts would be a plus.

Language: Fluency in oral and written communication in Arabic and intermediate level in English.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Proficiency in Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• General knowledge of WFP’s mandate, activities and AAP policies.

• Ability to work independent and take initiative

• Excellent communication skills
