Import Logistic Officer

Job Description:

  • Coordinate with the shipping companies to collect, ship, and deliver the imported items in the agreed time and follow up the shipping process.
  • Monitoring and Reporting of all planned containers in close consultation with the Supply chain team.
  • Ensuring that all relevant import documents are received on time.
  • Coordination with Finance department to arrange payment for customs duties/levies, and other clearing and forwarding payments as per requirements.
  • Forward shipment documents to the forwarder to start the clearance process.
  • Communicate & follow the clearance process and report any problem that may occur.
  • Follow up with the customs clearance agent to ensure the timely release and delivery of products to our warehouse,
  • Request & coordinate the transportation of all shipments and monitor till receiving in our warehouses.
  • Delivery of shipments invoice to the warehouse for checking to receive material according to invoices.
  • Daily update the transactions follow-up sheet and ensure that all data is accurate and updated,
  • Create logistics reports and keep them updated.
  • Continual review of shipping dates and reporting exceptions.
  • Keep proper records and archives of all forms of transactions and shipments. documents relating to the company’s logistics operations.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation for handling logistics work in accordance with internal Logistics department rules.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any relevant major.
  • 2- 6 years of experience in Retail, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management
  • Excellent at MS. Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, …etc.)
  • Experience in ERP Systems is a plus
  • Excellent proficiency in the English Language
  • Highly effective and professional verbal and written communication skills with the team.
