A/C Technician – Marine

Job Description
Install, retrofit and repair marine air conditioning and refrigeration systems – primarily on military ships.
Perform installations, repairs, overhauls and start-ups of marine HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Use various hand and power tools to diagnose and repair units according to blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping diagrams or technical specifications.
Identify, analyse, diagnose and repair systems and products on board vessels
Perform preventive maintenance, survey, replacement and adjust as needed or requested by the customer.
Service warranty and non-warranty systems.
Prepare for installation and field repairs by surveying ship layouts, anticipating problems, gathering materials, and coordinating field work as needed.
Maintain tools and equipment by checking for signs of wear.
Document work by completing paperwork for each job and maintain files and reports.
Assist other engineering team members on other non-HVAC/Refrigeration related systems as needed.
You may require to work overtime, nights and weekend work may be required as part of the job demands.
