Job Summary
Seeking to hire a Senior Accountant in Jordan. The candidate should possess a good level of education with experience in managing and preparing financial statements independently. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for monthly payroll, income tax, social security, sale invoice raise, e-invoicing, bank reconciliation, and sales tax filing. You will be responsible for support documentation for Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Knowledge of Quickbooks is mandatory whereas NetSuite would be an advantage.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage e-invoicing and supporting documentation for different entities (Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt) on daily basis
- Maintain and update monthly accounts and adhere to month-end procedures including timely and accurate reporting of results
- Prepare reconciliations of Bank accounts, Account payable and Account receivable periodically and report discrepancies if any
- Design and prepare weekly and monthly reports
- Prepare monthly payroll with bonuses including deductions for social security & income tax
- Liaise and- obtain clearances from the local authorities including but not limited to Social security, Income tax authority and Corporate tax department
- Prepare, manage and submit Sales tax Returns and VAT returns for Jordan . Review VAT return for Saudi Arabia
- Prepare and submit local payments on timely basis supported by proper documentation
- Prepare and maintain petty cash register
- Liaise with the company’s local auditors, tax consultants and authorities to secure and maintain full compliance to the local laws and regulations
- Analyze and verify accuracy of the financial statements and transactions and / or other management documents, records and reports
- Undertake any other duties as appropriate within competence, as required by the Management
Skills
Qualification
- Bachelors in Finance/Accounts; CMA/ CCA (Qualified or Part Qualified)
- Minimum 7-8 years of experience in a similar role
Required Skills
- ERP knowledge (Preference for NetSuite and QuickBooks) is desirable.
- Ability to handle entire accounting activities independently up to finalization
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills – Fluency in English is required
- Ability to work collaboratively and constructively at all levels in the organization
