Global Media Enterprises FZ LLC is an audio-visual content development, production, distribution and aggregation company. It is based in the United Arab Emirates and transacts with trade partners across Africa, United Kingdom, United states of America, Asia and Europe.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, data-driven film and television content acquisitions expert. The role will have responsibility for creating, managing, and expanding the company’s channels’ content provider network and relationships. The successful candidate will have deep understanding of the international and African movie content landscape, existing relationships with independent producers, film studios, television networks and content owners/aggregators.

This role will largely be about negotiating commercial television content licensing agreements and ensuring that the company’s television channels always have adequate content inventories to meet scheduling needs, within an allocated budget.

A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in media studies or similar course.
Additional training in film production, business administration, marketing and/or media sales will be an advantage.
Keen interest in and deep conversance around the film industry.
Familiarity with television content libraries across film studios and independent distributors.
Acquisitions, Licensing, planning and marketing skills
A proven track record in television content licensing / acquisitions in Africa and internationally.
Proven skill in negotiating complex commercial content licensing and acquisition agreements in cross-national high-pressure environments.
Project management and leadership experience.
Ability to operationalise the strategy
A sound understanding of technical, legal, and operational aspects of television programming.
Good data analysis and quantitative skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Being fluent in other languages will be advantageous.
Excellent emotional intelligence and relationship management.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Critical thinking capabilities.
