Blasting Engineer

To plan and supervise the mine developmental activity, along with Blasting operation work and ensuring strict adherence with the statutory Ministry Rules & regulations.
Responsible for Drilling / Blasting pattern and Rigs deployment/ Operation.
Responsible for blasting crew and drilling crew planning & controlling.
Plan for Explosives and its accessories prior to blasting dates approval from MOI.
Follow-up with MOI and Finance Dept. for explosives payments.
Weekly 4 to 5 blast to be conducted as per plant requirements.
Responsible for fulfilling the MOI requirements on safety measures.
Police Escorts & Technician arrangements.
Responsible for the method of drilling, blasting and initiation.
Coordination with Foreman & Engineer for blasting planning & schedule.
Conduct blasting with all necessary safety features as per Qatar Law.
Responsible for the powder factor, Fragmentation, Ground vibration, Noise, fly rocks, Air Blast and Back break.
Responsible for Misfires & re initiation.
Responsible if any accidents related to blasting & drilling operation.
Maintaining all blasts records of explosives and its accessories consumption/ Drill check list/ ISO documentation/ Monthly reports.
Preplanned Maintenance of drilling equipment’s with Automobile dept.
Drill & Blast misc. accessories planning & raising PR.
Site Training, weekly safety tool box talks & implementation to the drill & blast crew.
Applying & renewal statutory clearances for blaster permit, blasting operation and bunker.
Display of Safety sign boards during blasting day.
Instructions to gate Security guard & safety officer/ Site HR about blast days.
Food arrangements for Escorts & his crew during blasting day.
Blaster Shelter box position. Conducting weekly Safety Tool Box talks and HEMM breakdown status notifying in SAP.
Follow safety Rules / speed limit & Wear PPE during the working Hours.
Sample collection from the drill holes before and after blast and coordinate with lab for test analysis and the same to be updated in the File.
SAP postings.
Act as Reliever during absence of Shift Mines foreman too with all responsible pile formation work.
Accounted for Quantity & Quality Limestone to be blasted as per Plant requirement.
Weekly 4 to 5 blast to be conducted to fulfill the Plant requirements.

المهارات

Bachelor degree in Blasting/Mining Engineering.
Minimum 04 years of experience as Blaster, preferable Cement Factories.
Blasting Licence, preferably issued from Qatar (Validity is beneficial but not essential
Knowledge of SAP system.
Knowledge of Qatar government Blasting regulations.
Knowledge of Mining Plans & Control blasting techniques / Drill pattern.
Holding a Qatari Light Vehicle Driving Licence.
Knowledge of Mining bench developmental work & survey.
Relevant ISO training is beneficial.
Good knowledge of Local safety Mining & Blasting Rule.
Light vehicle Driving skills in Mines Roads/ Ramps.
Organized individual with excellent planning skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to details.
Leadership and Coaching skills.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
