ICLA Coordinator-Legal/Nationals Only
The Legal Coordinator will be part of the ICLA Specialist team; s/he will work under the supervision of the ICLA Specialist and in close coordination with the ICLA Project Manager and ICLA implementation team.
Generic responsibilities
1. Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures
2. Contribute with ICLA specific technical competence to the development of ICLA strategy, Macro Log Frame, and Plan of Action 3. Conduct ICLA specific technical assessment and present recommendations
4. Conduct ICLA specific technical research and document findings and recommendations
5. Provide ICLA specific technical input to coordination mechanism (e.g. cluster coordination) and working groups
6. Develop ICLA specific technical guidance, tools and mechanism
7. Contribute to organisational learning through the provision specific technical analysis, lessons learned and reports
8. Develop training modules and provide specific technical learning or/and training for project staff
9. Provide training to relevant stakeholders
Specific responsibilities
National legal aid partners:
1. Oversee the Project Cycle Management of ICLA national legal aid partners including projects design, implementation of partnerships agreements, qualitative and quantitative analysis of jointly managed legal cases and evaluation of intervention.
Digital transformation initiative:
2. Oversee ICLA Jordan Digital Transformation initiatives including: (1) the implementation of a national digital platform on access to legal information, legal content creation, pilot and roll out, in collaboration with the partner responsible for digital work, (2) management and coordination of content in relation to information dissemination through social media platforms and communication platforms, (3) finalize ICLA SOPs on content creation and dissemination of information processes
3. Act as focal point with the ICLA digital partner, for the digital initiatives with official stakeholders including the Civil Status and Passports Department in Jordan.
4. In collaboration with ICLA digital partner, coordinate training opportunities for ICLA staff and partners staff on the digital communication platform.
5. Capture and document learning related to the digital transformation initiative and update processes and SOPs accordingly.
Internal and external Coordination:
6. Coordinate activities closely with the Global ICLA Digital Manager to report on progress.
7. Coordinate with various legal actors in Jordan to design, pilot and roll-out the digital information dissemination platform.
8. Coordinate the digital transformation work internally among NRC staff, and externally with national partners, other legal aid providers and the digital transformation partner.
9. Support the technical legal coordinator in managing the coordination work on the digital initiatives with the Government.
10. Engage with relevant NRC staff at national and field level in the project to ensure participation and continuous feedback.

Professional competencies
These are skills, knowledge, qualifications, and experience that are important for effective performance.
Generic professional competencies:
- Bachelor degree in Law or equivalent;
- Fluency in both Arabic and English and excellent drafting skills in English and Arabic;
- Minimum 3 years of experience on implementing projects in the humanitarian/ development sector;
- Interest in humanitarian work, refugee contexts and legal programmes;
- Previous experience in digital transformation and innovation is an asset;
- Previous experience working with national authorities;
- Previous experience working with national civil society organizations,
- Knowledge of the displacement context in Syria and the Middle East.
