Internal Audit Manager

Key accountabilities:

. Develop the overall audit strategy and direct audit programs for internal controls, risk management process, governance and regulatory compliance in line with industry best practices. Analyze and assess the risks assumed by the business.

. Ensure adequate and effective internal control, risk management and governance processes within the Company; including being alert to the significant risks that might affect objectives, operations or resources.

. Establish a comprehensive three years Audit Plan covering all the activities of the Company, prioritizing the audit assignments based on a risk assessment, and scheduling of follow-up activities, in an effective and efficient manner.

. Ensure that the audit engagements are performed in a systematic, disciplined approach and that professional standards are maintained at all times.

. Ensure that the Investigation of Red flag & Whistleblowers are performed in a systematic, disciplined approach and that professional standards are maintained at all times.

. Develop and maintain business partner relationships with the executive management team to ensure proper visibility and accountability for the management of business risks.

. Monitor Compliance with rules, regulations, standards and policies and procedures and hence recommend improvements and report deviations

. Perform special audits as directed by the Board Audit Committee and CEO and identify potential issues and risk and recommendations to address those issues.

. Submit comprehensive reports to the BAC and CEO on the results of the audit and risk associated with the Company’s activities and recommendations for improvements.

. Submit to the Board Audit Committee regular reports on the status of audit findings / recommendations any areas of concern.

. Maintain an up-to-date awareness of the latest techniques and professional audit standards.

. Prepare staffing plans and financial budgets including the number of auditors and the knowledge, skills and disciplines required to achieve the approved plan. Manage and oversee team performance through performance planning and coaching.

. Provide ongoing feedback to the audit team to ensure they develop the skills and competencies required for their individual professional career growth

Qualifications

Education requirement:

. Bachelor’s Degree in accounting.

. Certification as a CIA, CPA, or Chartered Accountant

. CISA certification is a plus

Experience required:

· A minimum of ten years’ internal audit experience in a senior management role with large multi regions unit.

· Experience in the financial industry with a preference for payment companies or commercial banks.

· Proven success in building and managing the audit function in an international organization together with superior knowledge of internal auditing and accounting principles and their application in daily business operations.

· Extensive experience in the management of operational audits which emphasis on providing management with consultative advice to improve business processes, increase operating efficiencies and reduce operational risks.

· Operationally and financially oriented executive with significant experience dealing with control and risk issues; with knowledge about a risk-based audit approach.

· Experience auditing geographically disparate activities as well as developed sensitivity to different cultures.

· Experienced and comfortable interacting with executives at a very senior level. Diplomatic but assertive in articulating points of view related to audit observations and remedies.

· Independent, self-driven and pro-active attitude.

IT literate including use of audit automation and data analysis tools.
