Organizational Context and Scope

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Finance Associate and National Resource Management Officer (NRMO) and the overall supervision of the Resource Management Officer (RMO), the incumbent will be responsible for providing finance and administration coordination and services to the mission’s activities.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in ensuring that IOM financial regulations are correctly applied on all financial transactions and that the mission’s financial transactions are entered into the IOM accounting system PRISM in an accurate and timely manner.
  2. Provide financial and administrative coordination to IOM Jordan and monitor the procedures of monthly closures, vendor and GL clearing and reconciliation.
  3. Review, Validate and confirm financial documents to be correctly submitted and comply within IOM (FMRP) policies and procedures,
  4. Monitor, control and maintain online payment system (OIPA) and perform finance compliance role.
  5. Assisting NRMO and SR. Finance on Preparing project financial monitoring report and Power BI Dashboards and providing them to the management and project managers.
  6. Preparing interim and final financial reporting package for the projects and following up with RAS for the endorsement.
  7. Monitoring financial transaction to be posted into IOM system with E-Filling and with full supporting documents.
  8. Coordinates all accounting issues with other colleagues in the Finance unit and RMU department, including cross functional checks between other program and RM units.
  9. In coordination with NRMO/SR. Finance, assisting in preparing projects budget and do proper coordination with respective project managers.
  10. Monitor staff and office cost projectization for all financial transactions.
  11. Supervising finance assistants, providing proper guidance, and training to finance assistant.
  12. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • University degree, in Accounting or Business Administration with minimum Four years of Finance, Accounting working experience. OR Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration with minimum Six years of finance/accounting working experience.
  • Good knowledge of, and experience in Finance, Accounting posting, and administration, preferable in Travel process.
  • Knowledge of ERP system and accounting systems preferable (SAP enterprise).
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports and to analyses and interpret source information and data.

Skills & Technical:

  • Good knowledge of MS office, specifically in Excel.
  • Good communication skills, personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, drive for results, respect for diversity and creative thinking.
  • Ability to lead, coach and work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.

Languages:

Thorough knowledge of English and Arabic
