Showroom Sales In Charge

Job Description

  • To obey all reasonable instructions of the management.
  • To make a concentrated effort to acquire the know-how / technical details related to architectural ironmongery / hardware / electronic hotel locking systems and access control + any other product subsequently added in our sales program.
  • To attend to all walk-in customers to the showroom in a friendly / welcoming manner and to be well informed and motivated enough to be able to handle the customers’ requirements and to conclude / close the sale.
  • To identify opportunities for potential business and to follow-up on them in order to promote showroom sales and increase the turnover.
  • To handle all verbal and written enquiries received from the showroom customers promptly in a responsible and appropriate manner.
  • Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
  • Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc.)
  • To recommend, locate and help in the selection of the correct product as per the customer’s requirement.
  • To describe the features and specifications of the product to the customer in a persuasive and friendly manner in order to facilitate the sale.
  • To take an active interest in the showroom’s display + merchandising and to constantly look into ways and means of upgrading the same and maintaining it to the best possible standards.
  • To be hands-on involved in the showroom’s stock management, data –input, invoicing and the preparation of quotations.
  • To take full responsibility for the showroom’s stock, the accuracy of its record- keeping, to maintain the bin-card system. To ensure the accuracy and safe- keeping of the stocks, to arrange and organize the stock items logically for the ease of identification. To strictly handle, store and protect stocks in a careful manner so as to avoid damage to its shape, finish etc. in order to keep it free from deformation, blemishes, scratches. Also, to ensure that the outer packing/ boxes do not get damaged and the fixings / accessories included inside the packing, remain intact.
  • To maintain a complete sales record and reconcile all the sale transactions with the daily cash and credit sales, as a regular routine on a daily basis.
  • To stay current with the Company’s retail sale prices and to strictly adhere to them while quoting to the customer.
  • To recognize and monitor / safe-guard the security / safety and fire-hazard issues relating to the premises + materials and to report any vulnerability and/or illegal activity or conduct which jeopardizes the company’s interest or is against the company’s advised guide-lines. procedures, disciplines and instructions
  • To be vigilant against theft, pilferage, wrong deliveries or deliveries without proper paper-work. If you note any such activity on the part of your collegues , it should be immediately brought to the notice of the management by you.
  • To personally pick-up items from the shelves and deliver to the customer against his requirement / order, following the routines and procedures set up by the Company.
  • To make an active effort to increase the sale with local UAE / Arab customers by making an active effort to learn spoken Arabic and to be fully conversant in the same within three (3) months of joining our employment.
  • To keep all the Company’s information + prices etc. as strictly confidential and not to enter into any activity which would harm the interest / welfare of your employer.

Requirements:

  • Any Graduate
  • 2-4 years experience in Retail Sales / Indoor Sales / Counter Sales is required
