Responsibility:
- Responsible for maintaining a complete compilation of safety laws and regulations and for carrying out the provisions of the company Safety and Health, Drug and Hazard Communication Policies, the OSHA standards and all other state and local safety requirements.
- Determine all requirements needed in order to comply with the safety standards and regulations as required and ensure the implementation of the Country and the Client’s requirements and approved safety project program.
- Assist and coordinate with the Project engineer and administer the project HSE plan.
- Understand the requirements of Client and Company's HSE Program.
- Determine the cause of any accident or dangerous occurrence and recommends means of preventing recurrence.
- When unsafe practices/conditions or any safety violations are detected, advise or direct the supervisor to correct them.
- Responsible for the preparation, review and maintenance of needed record and statistical data as required by the client.
- Potential hazard identification (HAZID).
- Advises Management on potential hazards.
- Carry out safety audits in association with project engineer to see only safe methods of working are in operation and that all regulations and standards applicable, are being observed.
- Ensure that necessary emergency procedures are in place and updated as necessary.
- Supervises the recording and analysis of information on injuries, damage and production loss, assess accident trends and review overall HSE performance of the Project.
- Promote a positive HSE attitude amongst project employees using an authorized scheme of incentives and deterrents.
- Ensure that accident investigations are conducted, when appropriate, in accordance with Company policies & procedures, under the direction of the Safety Department.
- Maintain a safe and productive working environment by conducting appropriate safety, corrective action, job hazard, and inspections on a regular basis.
- Continuously provide specialist advice & education on safety matters to all project personnel.
- Ensure that every employee is informed and trained to perform their job in a productive and safe way in accordance with KN policies & procedures.
- Monitoring the activities of company and subcontractor work operation.
- Conduct the Safety Induction Course, Safety Training programs, Firefighting Training, Toolbox meeting checks of permits to work.
- Review all safety occurrence reports to identify trending and areas of concern, and then take appropriate action as required.
- Safe conduct of all ground operations.
- Responsible for completing actions outlined in the Emergency Operations Manual.
- Investigate accidents, near-misses and potential incidents and prepare appropriate reports
- Risk Assessments
- outline safe operational procedures which identify and consider all relevant hazards
- Carry out site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
- Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
- Conduct in-house training and inductions with managers and employees
- Provide accident statistics, analysis and proposals of remedial action
- Produce management reports, toolbox talks and bulletins
- Ensure equipment is safety checked / installed safely

- NEBOSH & OSHA Certification: Essential
- Efficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Bilingual Preferable.
