الوصف الوظيفي

Objectives:

Our client, a leading real estate & development firm in KSA, that strives to build long-lasting relationships with their customers, industry partners and employees by maintaining a commitment to the highest standard. They are looking for a Contracts manager to join their team in Dhahran and sustain that standard in every project they manage.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the requirements of the contract documents are implemented and maintained throughout the Contract period.
  • Assist in the review of contractual notices of claims and providing contractual advice to the Engineering in their administration of the Construction Contract.
  • Interaction with the Client representatives, the Project Management Consultant, and relevant Contractors in respect of all contractual matters.
  • Assists in drafting commercial terms for design, engineering and/or construction services for approval by the Project Manager.
  • Participates in risk assessment, bid/no bid analysis, participation in business plan development, etc.).
  • Provides technical guidance to assigned personnel and ensures proficiency and timeliness of contract administration. Makes staffing assignments and reassignments as Company and project needs arise.
  • Collaborates with Project Manager and QS to ensure proper support in proposal preparation, as well as contract negotiations and administration.
  • Reviews requests for proposals to identify risks and contractual terms not conforming to Company policy.
  • Negotiates the more difficult, complex, or sensitive issues with clients.
  • Maintains an active participation in related professional societies to keep abreast of relevant contractual issues.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

المهارات

  • 10 + years of proven experience in both contracts administration management and commercial management
  • Sc. Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying, Construction management, or Business Administration
  • Ideally, a legal qualification, Construction law ideal.
  • Professional Membership such as RICS and training in construction contract law
  • Requires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.
