Roles and Responsibilities
The role of the Logistics Officer is to ensure the smooth running of Logistics activities, the position is
responsible for procurements, fleet, Assists and warehousing in the Mafraq office.
Specific responsibilities
• Advise and support all Mafraq staff on procurement processes
• Ensure paper and electronic records are maintained in a systematic manner in line NRC's standard procedures, providing a clear auditable trail.
• Responsible for the Mafraq fleet, including the supervision of drivers, processing fleet requests, ensuring proper planning of movements to create the best fleet optimization, and ensuring all fleet templates and reports are properly completed and submitted on time.
• Under the supervision of the Logistics Team Leader ensure that assets in Mafraq are checked regularly and the assets focal point updated.
• Conduct regular physical checks of all fixed assets, identify any damaged or obsolete items, and report to the asset focal point for the Host Area Offices
. • Ensure the correct storage, rotation of stock, and proper structural maintenance of storage areas and warehouses to keep all stock in good condition.
• Produce regular, timely, and accurate narrative and logistics reports for the NRC Logistics Team Leader.
• Ensure all documents for the Securing Supporting Documentation project are updated monthly by the deadline.
• Line Management of Mafraq Service Staff, ensuring that the office was kept in good condition and any maintenance requirements were acted upon and solved in a timely manner.
• Any other tasks as requested by the Line Manager.
Generic responsibilities
• Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.
• Implement delegated support function portfolio according to the plan of action.
• Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
. • Ensure proper filing of documents.
• Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
• Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
